Robert Hawking was born in the year 1967 and his father is known for the theory he has about cosmology and physics while the mother has written the memory called Travelling to Infinity: My Life With Stephen. A movie called The Theory of Everything that was nominated for Academy Award was based on the book. Robert was born with other siblings, Lucy who is 44 year old and Timothy of 36 years old. Lucy works as a novelist and English Journalist.

She has written a notable book for children called George’s Secret Key to the Universe and the co-writer was his father and another student for his father called Cristophe Galfard. She did Russian and French in The University of Oxford. She got married once. The little brother of Robert Hawking, Tim was born in 1979 and he did Spanish from Exeter University and he likes racing of Formula one.

Robert Hawking is software engineer and he is working for Microsoft. Even if he is of British by nationality, he lives in USA, state of Washington in the city of Seattle. In the past, he also lived in Canada. Stephen said that Robert was interested in the science while growing up and since he is an older son, he had to take care of the father who is suffering amyothrophic lateral sclerosis which is a form that progress slowly. It is also called Lou Gehrig’s disease. His mother said that Robert had to do things for the father that a child would not have done in other cases. In the movie, Tom Prior was playing Robert when he was 17 years old while Oliver Payne played him when he was 6 years.

Robert Hawking got married and with his wife, he has two children, a daughter and a son. His mother said that she likes to visit his son where he works in US. Stephen with Robert has a good relationship and he likes the father too much. In the year 2014, Robert together with Tim and Lucy agreed to the ALS ice bucket challenge in the behalf of his father and this is the challenge that supports the charity of the ALS. ALS is the same diseases which Stephen is suffering from.

Tim, Lucy and Robert always express the concerns over the health of their father. There are times when some bruises were found on his body and once he suffered a broken wrist and some thought that his second wife Elaine Mason was responsible but he denied it. Stephen got married to Mason in 1995 but none in his family went to the wedding.
