Sports career

Surprisingly enough for a sports man, he turned down a professional baseball offer coming from the team of Saint Louis Cardinals because he wanted to go to college at the Youngstown State. This is probably what set him off to the NFL track because he was drafted only in the second round of the NFL Draft during 1973 by the team of the Los Angeles Rams. However, this wasn’t a dream come true for Jaworski because he was a third-string quarterback. Luck presented itself and due to some injuries John Hadl and James Harris weren’t able to play and thus Ron took their place during 1975, leading the Rams to a convincing playoff win.

He stayed with the Rams until the 1977 when he was transferred to the Eagles of Philadelphia. Even though this trade was illegal on book, no one raised an issue and the deal was struck and it held off. The Eagles were a promising team which appeared to be true and they quickly became a playoff team under the supervision of coach Dick Vermeil. Even though they lost the playoffs in 1978 and 1979, they managed to become a Super Bowl team and in 1980 managed to win the NFC Eastern Division for the first time. Jaworski surely had a lot to do with this and he was named NFL Player of the Year. Things went south for Ron in 1985 and he was quickly benched. This lead to the end of his career in the Eagles and in 1987 he signed with the Miami Dolphins.

This didn’t last long and he went to play for the Kansas City Chiefs in 1989 but he saw that it is time to end his professional QB career.

Life after the NFL

Once he kissed his career goodbye, Ron Jaworski became a NFL analyst for the ESPN Network. However, this is not the only undertaking that he’s got going. He is also the CEO of the Ron Jaworski Golf Management incorporated. Ron is also a partial owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. He is also the president of the team. As a matter of fact he definitely likes to diversify and he is also an investor for the Elite Football League of India. Apart from that he is also really into golf and his company manages a variety of clubs. All of this surely impacts his financials and he has a net worth estimated at about 3 million dollars.

Personal Life

Ron had a beautiful wedding, marrying the love of his life – Liz Jaworski. They have raised three beautiful children together – Joleen, Jessica and their son William. Ron is also known to be a great fan of Twitter, having over 400 photos and 60 thousands followers.
