Ruth Wilson was born on January 13, 1982 in Ashford, United Kingdom. She was brought up in Shepperton, Surrey as a young English girl.

In 2002, Wilson graduated with a degree in history from the University of Nottingham. There she was associated with the drama group of the college. A while later, she studied drama at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). She had a great time there learning and creating new relationships. She ended up graduating in 2005.

Career

Since 2010, Ruth has had momentum in her career. Starring opposite famous actor, Idris Elba in Luther really blew up her career to the top. She has had roles in Anna Karenina (2012), The Lone Ranger (2013), and Saving Mr. Banks (2013).

In 2014, she had a voice over job in the film, Locke (2013), and started a leading role in the Showtime series, The Affair (2014). She has continued to take on roles that challenge her as an actress.
