Professional Career with the Carolina Panthers
Kalil was selected by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Coincidentally, the team also drafted his USC teammate, wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett. In his rookie NFL season, Kalil started in three games. By 2008, he had secured a starting position, although injuries caused him to miss four games that season.
Over the years, Kalil remained a cornerstone of the Panthers' offensive line. His consistent performance earned him multiple selections to the Pro Bowl, including one in 2010.
