The first roles Sharon had were lead roles in musicals: The Wizard, Grease and The Nutcracker. Later on, she brought her acting talent to the television. Sharon Case’s first role was on the well known TV show General Hospital, broadcasted on ABC. She got a part where she played Dawn Winthrop. She started working on the show in November of 1989. As she was perfect for the role she got, Sharon still claimed that she had met different challenges she was always trying to overcome, doing her best. Her part in the series ended with success.
The next year, the year 1990, Sharon left the show and appeared as a guest star on Doogie Howser, another one of ABC’s series. After the appearance on Doogie Howser, in 1991, Sharon was getting numerous roles on different shows. She worked on Beverly Hills 90210, Cheers, Diplomatic Immunity and Parker Lewis Can’t Lose.
After a year, in 1992, having her career slowly blooming, Sharon Case got a role in one of the CBS’ drama shows – a soap opera named As the World Turns. This was her second role as a soap opera actress and she ended up working on the show for one year, till the year 1993. Her role in the series, as a character named Debbie, was as she claims very interesting and challenging for her as for an actor. Her character had maniac depression being part of the profile, which Sharon found very interesting and groundbreaking regarding the world of soap operas. She claimed she found the role really interesting given that maniac depression as a problem was never covered on daily television.
In the meantime, while she was working on the show, Sharon also appeared on CBS’s Silk Stalkings, one of CBS’s crime series. She appeared as a character named Bonnie Abagail. Sharon left the show As the World Turns in 1994, but was not left without a new role waiting for her. She became a regular character on the soap opera named Valley of Dolls. Three years after, in 1997, Sharon got a role in a film, produced and made by HBO, Breast Men. There was a large role in the movie waiting for her as offered by HBO, but she turned down the role as she didn’t feel comfortable with nudity scenes where she was supposed to get topless in front of the camera. Still, she got a smaller part in the film.
