Simon Konecki was born on April 17, 1974 in the famous state of New York. He is mostly known for being married to the popular English female singer, Adele. Even though his public image is primarily linked to famous vocalist, Simon has had an interesting life on his own. He may seem like a regular guy to Adele fans but the truth is he had enough charm to attract a mega pop star.
Simon attended his primary school in New York before moving to England where he attended the famous Eton school in England. There has actually been a number of famous people who have moved from the United States to England at an early age. Lauren Cohan who portrays Maggie on the popular Walking Dead series on AMC moved to England from the United States when she was a teenager. In interviews, she said it was odd that she picked up a British accent after she spoke American English for so long. After she moved back to the United States to pursue acting, she said that her accent became a mix of American and British English.
It is unknown if Simon went through the same experience as Cohan but he probably wasn’t paying attention to his speaking because he was more focused on business instead of acting. He wanted to direct his time to finance and pushed through to become the director of an investing company called EBS. At that time of his promotion, he was surrounded by billionaires and CEOs of other companies. Even though it was a nice job, he did not enjoy his time at EBS. He did not like the hierarchy of the company and that fact he had to answer to so many different leaders. He decided to carve his own path and became an independent foreign exchange broker.
During his career as a broker, he made a new friend in a man named Lucas White. Lucas and Simon hit it off really well and developed a strong chemistry. The two decided to become business partners. At the time, Simon was only a 17 year old teenager with a lot of free time on his hands. He had the opportunity to take risks and challenges as a young broker. He eventually landed a job working for the Lehman Brothers at the age of 24, which was one of the biggest firms in the foreign exchange industry. The job was a dream come true for Simon and it was the result of all his hard work and smart decisions.
Simon was employed at Lehman for just three years until realizing that he could use his new connections and expertise in the industry to accomplish greater things for himself. After leaving the Lehman job, Simon and Lucas came up with the idea of providing purified water to everyone. They called the company Life Water and also created a charity called Drop4Drop. The ambitious idea of making clean water available for everyone, no matter their financial status, motivated the two friends to create the company. The company makes water purifiers at a very low cost and donates them through their charity, Drop4Drop.
