Who is  Steve Bacic? 

Steve Bacic is a Canadian actor known for playing the characters Gaheris and Telemachus Rhade on the Gene Rodenberry science fiction series Andromeda. Bacic was born March 13, 1965 in Lisicic, Croatia, and raised in Ontario, Canada. Bacic says that he has always considered acting to be his second choice as a career. He graduated from University with an honors degree in kinesiology and considered being a coach or physical therapist. While in his mid-twenties Bacic became interested in the television and film production that he saw happening in Vancouver. His television roles have included appearances on Street Justice, The Outer Limits, Highlander, Stargate SG-1, Smallville and The X-Files.

It is interesting to note that Bacic’s character was killed by his commanding officer in both of his roles on the science fiction films Andromeda (2000) and Battlestar Galactica: Razor (2007). Bacic has performed with many American stars including Rosie O’Donnell, Richard Dreyfuss, and Emilio Estevez. In 2008 and 2009, Bacic was nominated for a Leo Award in the category of Best Lead Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series. Steve Bacic is currently married to Carolin Bacic. The couple has three children and currently resides in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
