Steve Morse was born on 1954, July 28 in Hamilton, Ohio, United States of America. He is the son of minister and musically talented mother. He spent his childhood in Ypsilanti, Michigan and the family finally moved to Augusta, Georgia. His brother Dave Morse was also a musician with whom he worked in a band call The Plague. Morse was interested in music from his childhood and he use to play piano and clarinet but he ultimately makes interest in guitar. He studied music from Academy of Richmond Country and from University of Miami School of Music. He is very hardworking and talented in musical sector from his childhood.
Steve Morse career started from late 1960s.He played in a band call Three with his brother Dave and also with his school mate who played a keyboards. They performed at a local youth club, at legion hall and at church function. His first album was The Great Spectacular, which first release in 1975 but it get re-released in 1997 on CD. Steve Morse is a great Songwriter, Musician, Guitarist, and Film Score Composer. He is the founder of Dixie Dregs. He makes many album and perform with Dixie Dregs but Morse breakup with this band due to some misunderstanding.
After the breakup with Dregs, Morse formed the new band call The Steve Morse Band with bassist Jerry Peak and drummer Doug Morgan. Dough Morgan left the band due to some commitments and finally in September they began to record The Introduction. Elektra records sigh the Morse band to release the introduction in mid-year. The group started to make musical tour and their first tour was in Germany where they get good response.
In 1986, Steve Morse join the rock band Kansas and released two albums Power and In the Spirit of Things. He also makes big hit with all I wanted with the band and receive co-writing credits. He rejoin his band in 1991 for their next tour.
Steve Morse join the British hard rock group Deep Purple in 1994. Since then he has been in Deep Purple as a lead guitarist. Morse is known for the hard rock, heavy metal music, instrumental rock, jazz fusion and progressive rock. He is one of the highest paid guitarist in the world. Not only with Dixie Dregs, Deep Purple and Kansas he has also perform with living loud, angle fire and colors.
