Sutton Foster, an American actress, singer, and dancer, was born on March 18, 1975, in Statesboro, Georgia, and raised in Michigan. At the age of 15, she gained early public recognition as a contestant on the television talent show Star Search. Demonstrating a passion for the performing arts early on, Foster left high school before graduating to join the national tour of The Will Rogers Follies. She later completed her high school education through correspondence courses and attended Carnegie Mellon University for one year before deciding to pursue a full-time career in theater.
