Tea Leoni is an American actress and producer who is perhaps best known for her role as Elizabeth McCord in the political drama series Madam Secretary. Tea Leoni was born Elizabeth Tea Pantaleoni on February 25, 1966, in New York City, New York; her mother was a nutritionist and her father was a corporate lawyer. Leoni grew up in Englewood, New Jersey and New York City and attended Brearley School in New York and The Putney School in Vermont. She also attended the private liberal arts college in Yonkers, New York known as Sarah Lawrence College. Leoni’s film credits include Fun With Dick and Jane, Bad Boys, Deep Impact, Family Man, and Jurassic Park lll.

Leoni has appeared on television in Frasier, The Naked Truth, and Flying Blind.Tea Leoni has been married twice; her first marriage, to television commercial producer Neil Joseph Tardio, Jr. ended in 1995. The couple had been married four years. Tea Leoni’s second marriage, in May of 1997, was to actor David Duchovny. The couple has two children, a daughter, Madelaine West Duchovny (born in 1999), and a son, Kyd Miller Duchovny (born in 2002). The couple was divorced in 2014 and Leoni has since been seen dating her Madam Secretary co-star Tim Daly.
