Early Life and Modeling Career

Terry Farrell, born Theresa Lee Farrell on November 19, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is an American actress and former fashion model. At the age of sixteen, standing nearly six feet tall, she submitted her photo to the Elite Modeling Agency in New York City. Soon after, she was invited to New York and secured an exclusive contract with the women's magazine Mademoiselle.

During the early part of her career, Farrell modeled for approximately eighteen months. She appeared on the covers of the Italian and German editions of Vogue and was also featured in several editorial spreads of the American edition. Her modeling work established her presence in the fashion industry, paving the way for a transition into acting.

Acting Career and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine"

In 1989, Terry Farrell began pursuing acting more seriously, studying with renowned acting coach Stella Adler. She quickly gained television roles, including appearances on Quantum Leap and The Cosby Show.

Farrell rose to prominence for her portrayal of Jadzia Dax on the science fiction television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She played the popular character for six seasons, from 1993 to 1998, and earned a devoted fanbase within the Star Trek universe.
