Thierry Henry is a French football coach and former player who was born on August 17, 1977, in Les Ulis, France. He was born to his father Antoine and his mother Maryse and raised in the Les Ulis suburb of Paris. Henry was exceptionally talented by age seven at football and was recruited by Claude Chezelle to the local club CO Les Ulis. He was not originally drawn to football but his father urged him to the sport. In 1989, he joined US Palaiseau but a year later moved to ES Viry-Chatillon and stayed there for two years training under US Palaiseau coach Jean-Marie Panza. By the time Henry was 16, he was being scouted by talent scouts and received an offer to join Monaco without even trying out. He was soon signed to Monaco and made his professional debut in a match against Nice which resulted in a 2-0 loss in 1994.

Henry went on to play for Juventus and then for Arsenal. During his time at Arsenal, Henry became a world-famous footballer after his career as a striker was finally cemented when he ended his first season at Arsenal with a total of 26 goals. In 2016, he retired and became an assistant coach at Belgium. Henry married his wife Nicole Merry Claire on July 5, 2003, and two years later had their first child, a daughter named Tea.
