Thomas Dekker was born in the state of Nevada in Las Vegas and his mother called Hilary is the concert pianist, singer, actress and acting coach. His father was called David John Ellis Dekker and he was artist who was a set designer, actor and opera singer. His mother is a British, of Welsh ethnicity and his father had American nationality but of Dutch and English Ancestry. When he was a child, the parents like to move around the world and he spent time in Canada and United Kingdom.

Thomas Dekker started his career when he was six years old and he played in The Young and The Restless. He appeared in the Star Trek Generations for two episodes of the Star Trek Voyage and in Village of the Damned. He appeared in the Seinfeld where he was Bobby.

Thomas Dekker had a musical background and he started to write the music when he was ten years old when he was still in Canada. When he was at the age of fifteen, he got the recording deal but after feeling that he was not in charge of his music as he wished, he stopped to start to work alone.  When he reached sixteen years old, he started to write the classical music and he was influenced by electrofolk music and his debut album was called Psyanotic in 2008.

When it comes to his personal life, he says that he was a victim of sexual molestation as a young child but in the teenager years, he became a part of the metalhead subculture which was causing trouble and he was arrested at least six times in Las Vegas.

During an interview, when asked about his sexuality, he said that he is yet to figure it out himself but up to that time even if he did not have any girlfriend, he always had relationship with women and when he was a teenager; it was all about the sex.
