She starred alongside her identical twin Tamera Mowry in many shows, including “Sister, Sister”, which ran from 1994 to 1999. She and her sister were also actively involved in various beauty pageants and talent show from a very young age.

She got her big break after moving to California with her family. Tia and Tamera appeared on the hit “Full House”, and after that their lives changed for the better. Her other notable works include the Disney movies “Twitches” and “Twiches Too”.

 She again co-starred with her sister in the movie ‘Seventeen again’ in 2000. She was also seen as a medical student Melanie Bernett on the CW/BET comedy drama series ‘The Game’ from 2006 to 2012. She has starred in Nickelodeon's comedy sitcom ‘Instant Mom’ since September 2013.

A psychology student at Pepperdine University, Tia also studied Italian and Humanities for a period in Europe. She is the author of the book “Oh, Baby: Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another”, which she published in May, 2012. The book deals with her experiences through her pregnancy while being an active working woman. From August 2011 until September 2013, she and her sister Tamera were seen in the reality television series ‘Tia and Tamera’ on the Style network.

Moving on to her relationship status, Tia is a happily married woman who found love in the rapper/actor Cory Hardrict. Their relationship was no less than a fairly tale. The couple met at a bus station and got engaged on Christmas, 2006 after six years of dating. They tied the knot in April 20, 2008 in California in a dream come true wedding ceremony where her sister Tamera essayed the role of her Maid of Honour’. Mowry announced her pregnancy on the show “106 & Park” and her son Cree taylor was born on June 28, 2011. Apart from her twin sister, Tia has two younger brothers; fellow actor Tahj Mowry, and Tavior Mowry who plays college football for University of California, Davis.

Tia is bi-racial with a Caucasian father of English decent and mother of Acro-Bahamian decent. Her mother Darlene Renee Mowry managed her and her sister’s careers when they were in the singing group “Voices”. She hails from a ‘very close knit’ and ‘spiritual’ Christian family.
