The urge for nature and feeling of wanting to get away from the city life might tempt some band members to skip out on some dates but Toni and her band have a pretty clean record, “I think over the 20 some odd years we've been touring, we've missed one and that was at the Garden State Arts Center in New Jersey, because of airlines and screw-ups. “
Sometimes the band would end up at a concert where they were running on fumes and had zero sleep due to delayed flights. There have been times when they arrive right before the start time of their concert. That’s one of Toni’s biggest concerns because she doesn’t think that is fair for the fans. She’d rather pass out from being tired than miss out on performing in front of her fans.

Toni Tennille dated Daryl Dragon for some time before they got married in 1975. An interesting fact behind their marriage is that Toni revealed how A&M Records pushed the duo into marriage. A&M Records issued a press release which mentioned the wedding of the Toni and Daryl on Valentine’s Day. However, the actual wedding took place right after a few months at the Silver Queen Saloon in Virginia City, Nevada.
Toni regretted being loyal to her pressured marriage vows and was disappointed in herself for tolerating a loveless marriage for nearly 40 years. Toni asked for a divorce when they moved in Arizona. Daryl said that he was surprised by the divorce papers since he was not aware that she was unhappy
Toni filed for divorce after 39 years of marriage on January 16, 2014. She had been in a never ending search for her ‘soul’ in the failed marriage. After the divorce, Toni went to live in Florida which her sister suggested. She was determined to live alone and is content with her decision. Toni does not have children and is happy to dodge a bullet. She did not want children with a many that she did not really love.
