Early Life and Background

Victor Rasuk was born on January 15, 1984, in New York City, New York, USA. He comes from a Dominican-American family; his mother was a seamstress and his father worked in an auto repair shop. Despite his modest upbringing, Rasuk pursued his passion for the arts from a young age. He enrolled in a performing arts high school and began acting at the age of 14, quickly discovering his lifelong vocation. At 18, he co-starred with his brother Silvestre Rasuk in the critically acclaimed film Raising Victor Vargas.

Breakthrough and Career Highlights

Rasuk's first on-screen appearance came at age 16 in the short film Five Feet High and Rising, directed by Peter Sollett. This short later evolved into the feature-length film Raising Victor Vargas (2002), which premiered to widespread acclaim. The role earned Rasuk a nomination for Best Debut Performance at the 19th Independent Spirit Awards, marking the beginning of his professional success in Hollywood.

Following his breakthrough, Rasuk appeared in the film Rock Steady, where he portrayed the character Roc. Two years later, he landed a leading role in the crime drama Haven.
