Early Acting Career

Goggins began his acting career at the age of 18 with a role in the television series In the Heat of the Night, appearing in three episodes. Though modest, the role marked an encouraging start to his career. He followed it with a minor part in the TV movie Murder in Mississippi. Determined to make a name for himself, Goggins continued to attend auditions across film and television.

Film and Television Work in the 1990s

Over the next decade, Goggins built a respectable portfolio with roles in both movies and television series. Some of his notable early credits include Forever Young (1992), Beverly Hills, 90210 (1992), Stay the Night (1992), The Next Karate Kid (1994), Humanoids from the Deep (1996), The Cherokee Kid (1996), The Apostle (1997), and Murder, She Wrote: The Last Free Man (2001). These roles helped him establish a foothold in the entertainment industry.
