There could be some shape on offer. 160 is a very competitive score depending we play two spinners or they play two spinners. Like I said the ball here doesn't travel as much as in Highveld. So one or two mishits here, you can pick a couple of wickets whereas in Johannesburg, with the kind of momentum, you can see the ball travel to boundary," he explained.

His family lives in Cape Town and they moved there when he was five years since he was born in the city of Johannesburg. However, he made his named in Centurion. While playing, he is always under pressure since he is being designed like a finisher. After playing under Pybus, Chris Van Noordwyk was the new coach for the club and he took his batting to a higher level. Even if it took long for him to rise to national colors, this had never changed his morale. Now each opportunity given to him is a new chance of showing what he can do. There is no record of his net worth.

Enhance his reputation since he made his debut five years back. For a middle-order batsman who can bowl military medium-pace, Behardien has never really emerged as a genuine all-rounder for South Africa, a country that has been blessed with a seemingly endless string of versatile cricketers across formats. Behardien is not a player in that mould. At least his international numbers suggest so.
It took Behardien over four overs to cross the 1,000-run barrier in ODIs. The wicket count is negligible. However, if you dig through his domestic figures, a different story comes to the fore. He averages close to 40 in First-Class cricket and 37 in List A in his 13-year-long career, giving an indication of how good a player he is. He has clearly not lived up to his potential at the international level.

A late bloomer, Behardien got himself noticed only in 2011-12 after debuting way back in 2004. He was exceptional in the shorter formats that season and was even named the South African T20 Player of the Year at the 2012 awards, which paved way for his national selection. He made his T20I debut in 2012 and ODI debut in 2013. In subsequent years, he became a regular member of the limited-overs squad.

In January 2017, Behardien was named South Africa’s T20I captain for a 3-match series against Sri Lanka, albeit in the absence of number of regular players. Though he remains part of the team, he is yet to justify the talent he possesses at the highest level.
