Alfredo James Pacino was born on April 25, 1940 in New York City, New York. He was the single offspring of Italian outsiders from Sicily who isolated when he was a baby. After they split, Pacino's father moved to California and Pacino was raised by his mom and grandparents in the Bronx. Despite the fact that he was fairly bashful as a tyke, in his initial adolescent years Pacino built up an enthusiasm for acting and was later accepted at the High School of Performing Arts.
