He is the son of Vickie who was a high school teacher and to David Ritchson who is a retired U.S Air force Chief master sergeant. He was born with three brothers and he is the middle one, the oldest is Eric and Brian is the youngest. When he was still young, the family went to live in Illinois in the city of Rantoul. When he was 10, the family settled in Niceville, in Florida and he went to Niceville High School where he graduated in 2001. In the interview with Da Man magazine in 2013, he said that he got the full scholarship on music. This is in 1999 until 2003 when he was a dual enrollment student and he graduated with the Associate of Arts Degree from Okaloosa Walton Community College and now it is Northwest Florida State College.
