Alexis Bliss is an American professional wrestler whose real name is Alexis Kaufman but she goes by her ring name "Alexis Bliss". Bliss was born on August 9, 1991, in Columbus, Ohio and has been involved in sports since she was just five-years-old. Growing up, Bliss competed in softball, track, kickboxing, cheerleading, and gymnastics but she also had a love for all things Disney. Her family has frequently visited Walt Disney World since she was three-years-old. She is also a competitive bodybuilder who competed in the Arnold Classic. Bliss credits bodybuilding with saving her from a life-threatening eating disorder at the age of 15. She attended Hilliard Davidson High School before graduating and going to college at the University of Akron where she achieved Division 1 status in wrestling. In May of 2013, Bliss was signed by WWE and assigned the ring named "Alexa Bliss".
She suffered an injury that prompted a brief hiatus but she returned on March 11, 2015, in an episode of NXT where she defeated her opponent Carmella. Bliss is engaged to a fellow WWE Superstar named Buddy Murphy. In 2018, Bliss suffered several injuries and has not fought in the ring since she was defeated by former UFC world champion Ronda Rousey on September 16, 2018.
