Minshew always wanted to become an actress, this desire bloomed in her heart from her childhood.  She started pursuing her career path after her graduation. She graduated from SFHS (South Fork High School) in Stuart, Florida. In the year 2002, Alicia Minshew grabbed the role as Kendall Hart on the daytime soap “All My Children”.  She got the role after Sara Michelle Gellar quit the role as Kendall Hart. Minshew got selected for the role in the soap opera ‘All My Children’ and she portrayed the role till the end of the series, the show ended on September 23, 2011.

Education

Minshew, after her high school, she got a scholarship to enroll in IR (Indian River) College.  She acted in various musicals and plays like ‘Grease’, ‘Godspell’, ‘Nunsense’ and ‘Kiss Me Kate’.  Also, she hosted a music program called ‘The Music Zone’, there she introduced broadcasted live and videos reports.

After graduating from college, Minshew started working as a model and tried her first commercial at Miami. Shortly, she went for an audition to New York for “All My Children” soap.  But, unfortunately, she did get selected at that time, however, she took it as a challenge and moved to NY for good.  At NYC, she signed with a commercial agent and talent agent, and enrolled in SAG, and in no time, she grabbed 2 national commercials.

Career Experience

Minshew is a talented actress as she proved with her impressive modeling and acting skills. Also, she appeared in several national commercials, print ads, voiceovers, etc. She also did a live stage in NY productions of “Of Love and Betrayal’ and ‘Beggar on Horseback’.  Her TV shows are ‘Hit and Runway’, ‘Celebrity Death Match’, ‘Game Day’, and ‘The Caprice’. But, her career took a turn with the soap opera All My Children, as it gave her a big break.

She appeared briefly in a daytime soap opera ‘One Life to Live’ as a Kendall in 2004 and 2005 seasons. She took a maternity leave as she gave birth to her first child, at the same period, the production company of All My Children relocated to LA (Los Angeles).

 Minshew acted in a film ‘Desires of the Heart’ in August 2012 and the filming commenced in Savannah, Georgia.   Minshew’s new film is directed by James Kicklighter, she played a role as an artist falling in love with a psychiatrist from India.

From 2013 and 2014, she played in web series Tainted Dreams soap opera as Angelica Caruso. Also, in 2014, Alica Minshew played as Sara Preston as NY reporter in web series Beacon Hill.  In 2015, she was nominated for a DEA (Daytime Emmy Award) for an Outstanding Performer in the category of NADS (New Approaches Drama Series). Minshew will appear in a popular show ‘Oxygen’ soon.

Personal Life

Minshew is a philanthropist and she love to spend most of her time, money and energy in charity works, especially for children. Minshew’s wedding with Richie Herschenfeld made her very happy, she wedded him on October 26, 2008, and has one daughter. She is a beautiful lady with a curly hair, but according to her, her height is a minus point as she falls under a petite category.
