Ferg’s father owned a boutique in Harlem where he had shirts and logos printed for Bad Boy Records and other artists as Heavy D and Bel Biv DeVoe. The relationship with records companies and other rappers might have inspired him to become a rapper himself.

Ferg’s intention by producing this video was to remember his childhood in Harlem, where he resembles some of the most fun and memorable times of his life having fun just dancing on the streets.

In 2016, Ferg had his second album released by the name of “Always Strive and Prosper”. The first single of this album was "New Level" featuring Future. This was received at number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart
