Ashley Mcbryde is an American country music singer and songwriter who was born on July 29, 1983, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. Mcbryde grew up playing her father's guitar and went on to attend Arkansas State University. She released her first album independently which launched her career. Mcbryde moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2007 to become a country music singer. She won the Country Showdown contest in 2009 and 2010. Mcbryde released her second album in 2011. She then began touring the southern United States with other country music acts. Mcbryde released an EP album titled "Jalopies & Expensive Guitars" in 2016. Country music star Eric Church invited Mcbryde to perform with him after hearing her music.

The New York Times named Mcbryde's song "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" one of the 54 Best Songs of 2017. Rolling Stone also labeled the hit one of the Top 25 Best Country Songs of 2017. She signed with on Warner Bros. Records in Nashville in September of 2017. Mcbryde then released her debut album "Girl Going Nowhere" on March 30, 2018. Jay Joyce produced the album and it has been well received by fans. Mcbryde has been touring and promoting her debut album since its release.
