Ashley Thompson completed her graduation from the University of Virginia in 1997. She holds degrees in finance and marketing.

Marriage and Husband

Ashley Thompson is the wife of a legendary football player, Peyton Manning. They started to date when he was still a blue-chip recruit and was about to start at the University of Tennessee. She grew up in Memphis and her neighbor was the one to introduce them. The neighbor thought they would be perfect for one another. They got married in 2001 and it was on St Patrick’s Day.

When Peyton underwent neck surgeries that made him miss the 2011 season and ended his tenure with the Indianapolis Colts, Manning was thinking about retiring completely instead of looking for another team since he thought that his life was not perfect. However, Manning said that Ashley gave him the advice that proved to be vital for his career. When he was thinking about quitting, Ashley asked him to try once again and he started to see things differently. He is glad that she pushed him to be who he is now.

On their 11th anniversary, he entered free agency and had to think about which team he should join but he put this on hold to celebrate their anniversary. They gave birth to twins, a son and a daughter in the year 2011 and this is why Ashley was not included in the introductory press conference that took place in Denver when Peyton agreed to sign with the Denver Broncos. This also made sense because it was aligned with her tradition of keeping away from the limelight. Peyton said that the family was excited to be moving to Denver.

Their son is Marshall and their daughter is Mosley. Marshall was with his father when he was doing an interview about what he did with his teammate Marvin Harrison and the two children joined his father while training.

Manning says that his family is important to him and to his successful career in the NFL. He says that his family keeps him positive and they are always in support of him. They said that what keeps them together is that she does not ask too much of his time and she is not a nagging person. She is an independent woman that stands on her own.

Career

Ashley Thompson is known to give back to society and she said that she likes to help the people who are not that fortunate. Manning is an active member of Youth for Christ and she is involved with The Girls and Boys Club and she goes there to tutor each Saturday. She was given the honor and was inducted into Acensus Society which is the honor given for the people who have outstanding involvement in the charity.

As the career of her husband, Peyton Manning was taking off, her charitable endeavors also took off. The two were highlighted after the fundraising they did for in Indianapolis for St Vincent’s Hospital and it was given the name of Peyton.
