Probably the most famous movie that Ms. Rous has acted in is remake of the movie, Ghostbusters (2016), starring Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Lesley Jones and Chris Hemsworth. In it, Ms. Rous played the character known as "Gertrude Aldridge Ghost." She was based on a character like Lizzie Borden. To film the scenes, Ms. Rous wore a LED light suit and was placed in a rig that took her up and down. For one take, Rous unexpectedly screamed and scared Kristen Wiig and all the others. On October 25, 1894, Sir Aldridge woke up and found no breakfast. He was angry at his servants, but when he found each and everyone of them, they had been murdered. Gertrude had murdered them all. To spare the family public humiliation, they locked her in the basement and feed her through a the door slot. Years later, the mansion was sold and her spirit resided in the basement. After the mansion's tour guide had an encounter with Gertrude, Ed Mulgrave Jr., the mansion's historian, asked Erin Gilbert for help. Erin, Abby, and Holtzmann arrived to research the events that had recently happened. Ultimately, Erin made direct contact with Gertrude and introduced herself. After a moment of trying to communicate with her, Gertrude projected Ectoplasmic vomit on Erin and then flew through the wall and out into the streets.
Perhaps the two most famous TV shows that Ms. Rous had recurring roles in, are Mad Men, starring Jon Hamm, and Murder in the First, starring Taye Diggs. In Mad Men, Ms. Rous played in two episodes. The first episode was titled, "Indian Summer." The second epsidode was titled, "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes." Ms. Rous played the recurring character of Ivana West in the TV show, Murder in the First. She appeared in the pilot episode, as well as the following episodes: "Blunt the Edge," Family Matters," "Win Some, Lose Some," "Suck My Alibi," "Punch Drunk," "Pants on Fire," "Burning Woman," "Who's Your Daddy," "The City of Sisterly Love."
Ms. Rous has appeared in all eight episodes of the TV show, "Other Space," which aired in 2015. In it she played the character of Karen Lipinski. It is the story of a young and inexperienced crew who venture into space to face mysterious clouds, folds in time and the occasional alien attack, as well as more household challenges.
In addition to her acting work, Ms. Rous is certified by the Alzheimer's Association Speaker's Bureau, where she serves as a volunteer in helping to educate and assist ill patients and their loving families who have been stricken by the devistating disease.
