Carla Hall was called back to Season 8 of Top Chef, known as Top Chef: All-Stars, where the best and most popular participants from all of the past seasons came together one more time. She did so well on it that she was even asked to demonstrate how she cooks chicken pot pie on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Unfortunately, she also did not win that season of Top Chef, or even reach the final episode of the season (saying that she had problems with the equipment. But she did end up getting the award for being the favorite of the fans that time. She was known for her warmth and enthusiasm.

Hall later became known because of her “Cooking With Love” Philosophy.  She says that a person has to put their warmth and care into the food they prepare. In 2012, her book, Cooking with Love: Comfort Food that Hugs You, got published. It is currently rated 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon. It contains recipes, kitchen tips, culinary basics, photographs, and stories about her own cooking experiences.

In 2016, Hall opened a fast-casual restaurant in Brookyn, New York, called Carla Hall’s Southern Kitchen. It closed after an electrical fire, but reopened, only to close again for “retooling.” Less than a year later, due to all of the difficulties it had faced, including losing the general manager, it was closed for good.

Carla Hall is currently a co-host on ABC’s Emmy award winning, popular lifestyle series “The Chew.” The Chew is a one-hour show that airs five days per week. She works with restaurant-owners and “Iron Chef America” stars Mario Batali and Michael Symon, as well as entertainment expert Clinton Kelly and the well-known health and wellness expert Daphne Oz. The show hosts all manner of guests, from celebrities (such as Jason Priestly and David Arquette) and famous athletes (like Danica Patrick) to musical artists (like Bow Wow).

Carla Hall’s net worth is estimated at $2.5 million. She participates in a number of charities and causes that she finds important, including the USO, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, the Pajama Program, GenYouth, Feeding America, the Edible Academy, Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, DC Central Kitchen, and the Food and Finance High School in New York City.
