Personal Life

Cheryl released her autobiography entitled Dancing Lessons in 2011. The book had a very sad story as she revealed that she was molested and fondled by a handyman when she was just five years old. She wrote that she felt it was wrong, but as a little girl, she didn't know how to properly earn the affection of adults. The criminal was arrested and placed in prison for 22 years, but he got out of jail in 2008. Cheryl was applauded for being brave enough to be open about her story. She helped many women come out with their stories of abuse.

Dancing With The Stars opened up a lot of income streams for Cheryl. She was hired to promote national brands like Depend Silhouette briefs, Impress Nails, and Sargento Cheese. She earned enough money from Dancing With The Stars to open her dance studio in 2008. The studio attracted many customers because they believed in her skills and wanted to learn from her.
