Following his retirement from the military, David L. Grange transitioned into the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. Among these are the Silver Star, Bronze Star with an oak leaf cluster, the U.S. Army Master Parachutist Badge, U.S. Air Force Occupational Badge, Special Forces Tab, and the 75th Ranger Regiment Distinctive Unit Insignia.
After his tenure at the McCormick Tribune Foundation, he served as CEO of Pharmaceutical Product Development, a global contract research organization, until his retirement from that role in 2011.
