Dean Winters was born in the year 1964 and he is American actor who had appeared in different movies and tv shows which include Law & Order: Special Victim Unit, 30 Rock, Rescue Me and Oz. She was also in the character of Mayhem in the series of commercials for Allstate Insurance. Winter was the co-star of Josh Duhamel in some of the seasons of the CBS network series which is a cop drama called Battle Creek. After staying away of the series for over 10 years, he portrayed Detective Brian Cassidy in its 13th season and also he became the love interest of Olivia Benson. He made guest appearance in other movies like Dennis Duffy, NYPD Blue, Third Watch, Sex and the City and Homicide: Life on the Street.
He appeared in the Undercover Angel Comedy together with Yasmine Bleeth and in 2002, he was in the horror movie called Hellraiser: Hellseeker. He played as Tom in the PS, I Love You.
From his bio, he suffered bacterial infection in June of 2009 and he collapsed when he reached the office of the doctor. When he was being transported to go to central part in the ambulance, he suffered a cardiac arrest for over two minutes but he was revived. He was in the hospitalized intensive care unit for over 3 weeks. After the next year, he suffered gangrene and he had to get his two toes with the half of the thumb amputated. The following operation included skin graft. He stayed away of acting for some time and Tina Fey called him up to come back in the 30 Rock and he started to work in the Mayhem campaign.
When he finished high school in the year 1982, he worked in restaurant where he was a waiter so that he can save money so that he can go to the trip with his friends but his father did not like the idea.
