Edward Spears, popularly known as Eddy Spears, was born on November 29, 1982, in Chamberlain, South Dakota, United States. He is the son of Pat Spears, a clerk, while his mother was a teacher. Eddy is one of seven siblings, including his brother Michael Spears, who is also an actor.

Standing at 6'1" (1.85 m), Eddy is often recognized in the entertainment industry for his striking appearance. He is a member of the Lower Brulé Sioux Tribe (LBST) of South Dakota. Acting Career
Eddy Spears began his acting career as a young teenager when he appeared in the television film "Geronimo." Since then, he has participated in numerous television movies and series, earning a reputation for compelling performances in both leading and supporting roles.
His breakout role came in the 2003 television film "Dreamkeeper," which earned him the First Americans in the Arts (FAITA) Award for Best Actor in 2004. Spears garnered further acclaim for his performance in the 2004 film "Black Cloud," a boxing drama. To prepare for the role, he trained for three months under boxing coach Jimmy Gambina. The role earned him the Best Actor Award at the Phoenix Film Festival.
Spears also played Joseph Black Moon in the first and second seasons of the AMC series "Hell on Wheels." Additionally, he made guest appearances in television series such as "Z Nation" and "Sleepy Hollow."
