Talk Nerdy with Us asked Eden to describe her inspiration for writing her book, The Emotionary, ”Being crazy! (laughs) That was pretty much it. You grow up feeling crazy, and you have a lot of feelings. It’s a funny story, I was talking to my boyfriend the other day, and I realize it was not quite a memorable experience, but you know you grow up and you have to throw temper tantrums, and you have to scream! You just have to let it all out. You feel guilty for hours, and you just hate yourself, and you want to crawl in the corner. You just argue with yourself like ‘that’s the way you do it!’ You know? But it was just a combination of being obsessed with needing to be productive, being right, and the passion of knowing everything. Along with being hyper-emotional and then cycling through those phases of yourself. Like ‘oh no! I’m not doing enough, or I’m not feeling enough!’ Feeling all the feelings.”

Personal Life

Apart from her acting, Eden Sher is also engaged in voluntary and fundraising activities for the benefit of the needy. Eden has been engaged with fundraising music events and charity shows in the past and feels like going forward with them in the future as well. Eden Sher has also been associated with community service projects as well.

Vulture Magazine asked Eden why her most popular show, The Middle avoids politics and how she feels about it, “I think maybe. I’m not sure. It’s definitely not the actors’ choice — we don’t have any say into what we do. Unless it’s something really egregious, but that’s never happened to that extent. I would then go to the writers and say, “I’m not doing this.” Which, luckily, I’ve never had to do. I’m not in the writers room, but I think there’s an element of … if you make something too timely, then it dates itself. I’ll be honest, this is something that I have to tell myself in order to be okay with not making any statement on the world around us on the show: It exists in its own world and you can’t look at it as a reflection on the actual issues that are happening. Different shows do different things. I feel it was a conscious effort on the writers’ part to go away from anything political. For me in my personal life, I like to do things that make a statement and relate to the real world, but I have to accept that The Middle is a different beast.”
