Stephanie Abrams was born on October 27, 1978, in Miami, Florida, and spent her childhood in Wellington, Florida.
She attended Forest Hill Community High School, where she was active in extracurricular activities, including serving as a cheerleader. Following high school, she enrolled at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Her passion for meteorology began early in life, sparked by a fascination with science and natural phenomena.
At the University of Florida, Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geography with a minor in mathematics, graduating with honors. During her time at the university, she was also an active member of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority and served as the chapter president. Stephanie Abrams began her professional career at WTXL-TV, the ABC affiliate in Tallahassee, Florida. It was her first job in television, where she co-hosted the program Weekend View. Her work there paved the way for her future in broadcast meteorology.

Currently, Stephanie Abrams co-hosts AMHQ (America’s Morning Headquarters) alongside Jen Carfagno and Jim Cantore, airing weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET. In addition to her hosting duties, she is a correspondent for AMHQ and continues to provide coverage on impactful weather events, particularly hurricanes and their aftermath.
Stephanie Abrams is a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society, holding a seal of approval from the latter for her work in broadcast meteorology.
