Transition to International Roles

After leaving Neighbours, Taylor traveled to the UK in November 2007. The following month, she participated in community events, including turning on the Christmas lights in Weymouth. She also starred in a Christmas pantomime production as Snow White. Returning to Australia, she had guest appearances in an episode of All Saints in 2009 and began expanding her film portfolio with roles in the indie drama Laundry and the horror film 6 Plots. She also appeared in episodes of the Australian TV series Winners & Losers.

Breakout in The 100

In March 2013, Taylor was cast as Clarke Griffin in The CW's post-apocalyptic science fiction series The 100. Although she did not audition specifically for the role at the time, a previous audition tape impressed the producers, leading them to schedule a reading with her. This opportunity marked a significant turning point in her career and launched her to international stardom.

The 100 premiered on March 19, 2014, and ran for seven seasons. Taylor’s role as Clarke Griffin became one of the most prominent and critically praised elements of the show. Her performance earned her a nomination for Choice TV Actress: Sci-Fi/Fantasy at the Teen Choice Awards.
