After graduating from the university, she immediately decided to work as a journalist. But it was a difficult world and it took a lot of hard work and effort to reach a position she wanted. Her first job was that of an assistant to production on Fox News. She spent 3 years from the period of 2006 to 2008 working for Greta Van Susteren's On the Record, a television program about the latest news and live reporting from the locations of occurring events. During her time as an assistant she was also on a project Gretawire.com which she was a big part of. She created many various podcasts for her, at the time, boss and constantly made new content for the site. After the production assistant gig she went and joined WJHG television, which is a Panama city affiliate to the TV powerhouse NBC. From around the middle of the summer of 2008 to the end of the fall in 2010 she was working as a reporter for the aforementioned studio. She also had done some work as an anchor as well as a producer. At the end of 2010, she was hired by the Fox News to become a full-time correspondent. She has done numerous stories including Deepwater Horizon oil spill which occurred on 20 April in 2010. She was reporting live from the place of the spill. Elizabeth was in the studio reporting West Fertilizer Plant explosion on April 17, 2013. Moreover, she was a reporter during the Mississippi River flood as well as three different hurricanes –  Sandy, Issac, and Irene.

Personal life

Elizabeth Prann got married on November 20, 2010. The wedding ceremony occurred in Atlanta. It was not a fancy wedding as the couple did not want to stir too much of media's attention. Her husband Darren Christopher O'Day is a professional baseball played for Baltimore Orioles. According to various sources, the couple is in a strong and healthy relationship and the spreading rumors of them getting a divorce are a complete nonsense. The couple has a daughter Claire which was born in the fall of 2014.
