Louis Gabriel Basso III was born on December 11, 1994, in St. Louis, Missouri. He has two siblings, including actress Annalise Basso. His parents are Louis J. Basso and Marcia Basso. The Basso family attended Grace Doctrine Church in St. Charles, Missouri. Initially, Louis aspired to become a professional football player before eventually discovering his passion for acting.
In early 2007, while still residing in St. Louis, Louis Basso secured roles in two feature films. He appeared in Meet Bill, starring Aaron Eckhart, and Alice Upside Down, featuring Alyson Stoner and his sister, Annalise Basso. Following these early opportunities, Louis moved to Los Angeles with his mother and sister to pursue acting more seriously. His first lead role was in a web series titled Ghost Town, a Dailymotion Kids production.
