Early life

Headly was born on 13th of March 1955 in New London. She lived with her mother in San Francisco and with her grand-mother in Pennsylvania. When she was in Elementary school she joined her mother in NYC. She attended public school in NYC. One of the high schools was P.S. 41. For her intelligence she placed in gifted children class. She also attended School of ballet in NYC. She graduated in honors in drama from High School. She did not continue to art school, she took admission in small college in Switzerland named America College. She took her Bachelor’s Degree from American College.

Marital status

In 1982, Headly married to an actor John Malkovich. The marriage was not successful. She got divorced in 1990. After three years of divorced, Headly again married to Buron McCulloch in 1993. She is remain with Mc. The couple has one kid. Headly said, that my family is most important for me. She is living content life with her family.

Career

Headly, from her childhood loves to do acting. After graduation from Switzerland she moved to NYC where she did earned money as waitress and satisfied her acting on theater at night. Headly moved to Chicago where she joined Nicholas Theater. Later in Chicago she was casted in “Curseof the Starving Class”. For her outstanding performance in Goodman Theater, she asked to join Steppenwolf Theater.

Film career

Headly gave many appearances as supporting roles in the films Nadine, Seize the Day and Paper House. She got popularity after the performance in “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels”. It was the biggest hit of her career. After that her career actually launched. After Dirty Rotten Scoundrel she got many high ranked roles. “Dick Tracy “opposite Warren” and “Mortal Thought” opposite Demi Moore are some of them. She went to Canada where she did small Canadian film “Original Magic” in 1998.

Television career

She did several good roles on television. She got roles in TV movies such as Pronto, My own Country, Women Vs Men, Lonesome Dove and Bastard out of Carolina. She performed for CBS play “On Golden Pond” which was telecast live in 2001. She worked in the series “Encore Encore” from 1998-99. She did many other plays and dramas on television. “The Brilliant Divorce” which was one woman play launched in Ireland (2003). This was another hit.

Awards and Nomination

Headly was brilliant actress. She was awarded for best newcomer in theater. She was also nominated several times for as best actress for supporting roles and for leading roles.

60 years Headly did continuous struggle in her whole life to satisfy her inner actor. Brilliant actress did lot of acting in theater, films and television. She earned lot of respect, honor and fame from the entertainment industry. From 1979-2005 she was also a member of “Steepen Wolf” theater company. She was honored by several awards. At the age of 50 she recognized her priority for her family. She happily married and taking care of her family.
