Haley Lu Richardson biography

Haley Lu Richardson is an American actress who is perhaps best known for portrayal of Krista in the 2016 coming-of-age film The Edge of Seventeen, which starred Hailee Steinfeld, Kyra Sedgwick, and Woody Harrelson. Haley Lu Richardson was born March 7, 1995, in Phoenix, Arizona; the only child of Valerie Valiquette, a graphic designer, and Forrest Richardson, a golf course architect. Haley attended Villa Montessori for her middle school education and later graduated from Arcadia High School. In 2009, she founded Hooked by Haley Lu, a line of crocheted clothing and accessories of her own design. Haley trained and performed  as a dancer throughout her childhood, often practicing and performing for more than twenty hours per week. Hayley was a leading dancer in the competitive Cannedy Dance Company in Phoenix until 2011, when she moved to Hollywood.

Haley landed a recurring role in the ABC Family series Ravenswood in 2013. Some consider Haley’s breakthrough role to be her performance in the 2017 film Columbus, for which she was nominated for the 2017 Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Actress. Haley has been in a romantic relationship with Canadian actor Brett Dier since 2014; the couple was engaged in March of 2018.
