Marriage with Whitney Casey

He got married to his wife, Whitney Casey in 1998 on Valentine’s Day. Whitney was the host of Great Day Houston and was also a CNN correspondent. Their relationship had to go through a lot of hurdles after their marriage and there were also a lot of misunderstandings between them. Their marriage broke apart in 1999 when they decided to get separated.

Jason told Sports Illustrated that he was very grateful to his former wife, Casey for her decision to get separated. He took the blame and admitted the reason behind their marriage failure was himself. He also felt it was a good decision because she wanted a career of her own. Casey always wanted an independent life and never wanted to depend on her husband. Casey’s reasoning for divorcing was that Jason could not stand the fact that she was an independent woman and was developing herself. She felt there was no longer any chemistry between them when it came to intellectual issues. She felt he was very controlling and did not allow her to pursue opportunities in life that would allow her to grow.

Casey felt Jason was not intellectually curious like her and their views on life did not match. She wrote a book where she talked about the time of her life with Jason when they were married. She claimed that she satisfied Jason’s needs in many ways but he did not reciprocate the effort. In 2000, there was a rumor that the main reason for the separation between the couple was Casey’s affair with a man named Danny. It was speculated that Danny and Casey were in a very deep relationship during Casey’s marriage to Jason this was the root of the separation. Jason denied this rumor and was adamant that there was no act of infidelity that caused the separation.

Casey also denied the cheating rumors and claimed the main reason for the divorce was that Jason was not able to handle the fact that Casey was becoming successful in her career. He was becoming insecure about the success that she was achieving in her career. There were several quarrels between the couple regarding her career which led to the separation.

Marriage with Angie Harmon

After getting divorced from Whitney, Jason started dating Angie Harmon, a famous actress. Jason was happy to have a girlfriend who was in the film industry. When she made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, she was asked by Jay Leno about her boyfriend. Angie got offended by the question and refused to mention his name. To Angie’s surprise, Jason walked out from behind the set and proposed to her on one knee. She was overwhelmed with joy and accepted the proposal. They were dating each other for many years before they finally got married in 2001.
