Angela was born in Highland Park, Texas. Her parents names are Daphne Demar and Larry Harmon. Her father works as a information network executive for a hospital in Dallas, Texas. Her parents have German, Irish and Greek descent. 

As a child Angela worked as a child model, even winning a modeling contest for Seventeen magazine in 1987. While attending Highland Park High School, she won a Spectrum Model Search contest and this led to her pursuing a career as a model, which ended up becoming very successful in the early 1990s. She has worked for major companies such as Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, and Calvin Klein. She has also been on the covers magazines such as ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Esquire. 

After making a name for herself as a model, Harmon decided to give acting a try after being discovered by David Hasselhoff on a plane in 1995. She then went on to star in several TV series such as Baywatch and Baywatch, Nights. She also began working in movies such as the 1998 film Lawn Dogs. 

By the end of the 90s, Harmon had landed a very lucrative role as ADA Abbie Carmichael on the long running hit series Law & Order. She left Law & Order to focus on her film career in 2001, as she preferred working on movies. She worked on a number of limited release films or direct to DVD movies with actors such as Frankie Muniz, James Woods, and Cuba Gooding Jr. 

Around 2006, Harmon began working on a number of TV pilots and shows which ultimately did not get picked up or cancelled after only a few episodes. 

From 2010 to 2016, Harmon starred in a very successful series on the TNT network called Rizzoli & Isles. She played a police detective from Boston, Massachusetts named Jane Rizzoli. She has won multiple awards for her role in this show. 

She got married to Jason Sehorn, a former NFL player. She started dating him, when he was on the brim of separation from his former wife. During a taping of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno while Angie was a guest, Jay Leno brought out Jason as a special guest. As he was brought out he got down on one knee. Jason proposed to her on the show and Angie accepted. She got married in 2001 and has three daughters with her husband. Angie talks a lot about Jason. She said that Jason was very supportive of her career and took care of her daughters, when she was out on her TV series sets. When they were dating Angie refused to mention the name of her boyfriend. However, Jason proposed to her in front of millions of viewers on a show. There were a few rumors about divorce, but, Angie denied them and said that there were a few differences in the marriage, but, that was what making their relationship work. Unfortunately, in 2016 the couple decided to call it quits and they filed for divorce in 2016 after 13 years of marriage. 

One of the rumors was that she is having a very tight schedule and he was almost like a house husband. This caused a lot of waves in their relationship. It was said that he was forced to take care of his daughters just because Angie was on the sets. It was said that he did not want to be Mr. Mom. It was said that he does not like to have tea parties with his daughters. Though Angie thought it was cute, Jason was not happy about his life. But, Angie said that, marital relationships have a lot of things that has to be worked out. Small problems can cause communication problems but, not strong enough to end her relationship with him. However, the rumors became stronger and stated that he was not able to cope with the fact that she has a more active career than him. The rumors became strong as this was the same reason as to why Jason got separated from his former spouse.

According to one of the rumors, it was stated that Jason wanted to marry someone who did not have a great career and picked Angie. However, soon after the third child was born, her career started to take rocket steps and he refused to help her with her career, by taking care of his daughters. However, Angie had a different story. She said that on her sets in LA and her phone cracked and she was not able to speak to her family. Jason was in Charlotte and he purchased a phone for her and sent it to her, so that she can communicate with him and his daughters. When Angie was pregnant with her second child, there were rumors that he was cheating on her with a secret girlfriend. There were no evidences to prove this affair and Angie did not take this rumor into consideration.There were a lot of rumors about infidelity, arguments and other problems which were said to end their relationship. 

Angie is a strong willed republican. She has supported many republicans in recent elections such as President George W. Bush, and she supported John McCain for president in 2008. In 2004 she gave a speech at the Republican National Convention. 

Angie is also a devout Christian and speaks quite often about the importance of prayer in her every day life. 

She is also very prominent on social media. She is active on Twitter and Instagram so her followers can have multiple ways to interact with her. She also has many followers who engage with her on a regular basis.
