Jim Sciutto

James Ernest Scuitto popularly known as Jim Scuitto was born on March 10, 1970. His biography is blank about his early childhood and parents are not available. He is the chief security correspondent based in Washington. He provides detailed reports on the US national security issues. Though he has a sterling career as a journalist for about 20 years, his actual net worth still remains a mystery.

Education

Jim Scuitto went to Regis High School for his secondary schooling. This school is located in Manhattan New York. Later he proceeded to Yale for his University education, graduating his Bachelor of Arts in Chinese history. This was in the year 1992.

Career

He started his career in television by moderating and producing for Public Broadcasting Services (PBS). This media held weekly public affairs talk focused on college students.

He became a correspondent for Asia Business News which was based in Hong Kong. During this tenure, he comprehensively covered the Hong Kong territory return to China by the United Kingdom. He also published stories mainly related to China, Mongolia, Laos, Vietnam, Singapore and South Korea.

In 1998, he joined the ABC News, Chicago bureau. Later he relocated to their Washington DC where his main duty was reporting on Pentagon.

By 2006, Sciutto had travelled to over 50 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. He has also covered war areas in Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq. During the 2003 Iraqi invasion, Sciutto embedded the military forces. During the Myanmar military crackdown, he managed to report on the atrocities being committed. He even made an in-depth report on the 2008 General elections in Zimbabwe.

Currently, he is the anchor for Good Morning America and the ABC World News.

Awards and Recognition.

He has earned many awards in response to his outstanding journalism efforts. In 2010, he was awarded the Edward R. Murrow Award following his heroic reporting in Iran on the 2009 election protests. He further received the George Polk Award for his Myanmar undercover reporting in 2007. He was nominated for and received the Emmy Awards in 2004 and 2005 for his Iraq report serialization. His efforts on Myanmar and Russia earned his Emmy nominations in 2008 and 2005 respectively.

Other awards included the Fulbright Fellow in Hong Kong from 1993 to 1994. Sciutto is as associate Fellow of Pierson College at the Yale University. He is also a life member of the Council of Foreign Relations beginning 2008.

Scuitto published a book Against Us depicting how the Al-Qaeda have labeled the United States as an evil community with the intention to destroy Islam and what they are doing to counter this illusion. This narrates the details gathered by Scuitto in over 100 assignments in the Muslim world. The book was first published in 2008 but subsequent copies have been made.

Private Life.

Sciutto married ABC News Asia Correspondent, Gloria Riviera on October 27, 2006. His height is 6 foot 1 inch. They have been staying as husband and wife for close to a decade. However, they still do not have any children. There are no stories in regards to their marriage hence no divorce is rumored.
