Julie Gonzalo, born Julieta Susana Gonzalo in 1981, is an Argentine-American actress and producer. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in Miami, Florida. Her early career began in print modeling before she transitioned into acting by taking theater classes. Seeking greater opportunities, she moved to Los Angeles, where she made her feature film debut in 2002 with a supporting role in the romantic comedy I'm with Lucy, acting opposite Monica Potter.

Film Career Highlights

Gonzalo gained recognition for her performances in several popular early 2000s films. In 2003, she played the antagonist opposite Lindsay Lohan in Freaky Friday. The following year, she portrayed Shelby, a competitive cheerleader, in the teen romantic comedy A Cinderella Story, alongside Chad Michael Murray and Hilary Duff. She also appeared in the sports comedy DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story and played the daughter of Jamie Lee Curtis’s character in the holiday film Christmas with the Kranks. Her subsequent film work included roles in Must Love Dogs, Cherry Crush, and a lead role in the horror-comedy Vamp U.

Television Career and Notable Roles

On television, Julie Gonzalo made her initial appearance in The WB comedy series Greetings from Tucson. In 2003, she starred in a WB comedy pilot titled Exit, although the show was not picked up. That same year, she guest-starred on the procedural series NCIS. In 2004, she was cast in the UPN pilot Me, Me, Me opposite Tori Spelling, which also was not picked up, and appeared in the pilot episode of Drake & Josh.
