Background

George Ramirez, better known by his performance name, Kap G was born on July 31, 1994. Kap was born and raised in College Park, Georgia. His hometown is located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area. After finishing his primary studies, Kap graduated from Tri-Cities High School.

Career

The young emerging artist has worked together with enormous names in the rap game. His list of notable collaborations include Chief Keef, T.I., Wiz Khalifa, Jeezy and Kirko Bangz. He released his first single, titled "Tatted Like Amigos", it was a joint effort with Chicago rapper Chief Keef. The single collected him a new following in the rap genre.

From that point forward, Kap G started remixing other artists' tunes, which drew the attention of Dungeon Family A&R Representative Kawan Prather. Prather eventually found Kap G and offered him a deal with Atlantic Records. In his music, Kap pays respect and speaks to his Mexican culture and roots. He is bilingual and is often heard switching between English and the Spanish language in his songs.

On March 6, 2014, Kap G released his highly acclaimed mixtape, titled Like a Mexican which was produced by popular beat maker, DatPiff.
