Katrina Pierson

During the presidential elections of 2008, Pierson claimed that she had voted for president Barack Obama but later found herself disagreeing with the policies he implemented. That would be the start of her changing political beliefs. In 2009, she became an active Tea Party member. She had such a strong passion for the political party, she founded a Tea Party group in Garland, Texas. In the 2012 Texas Senate, Pierson publicly supported candidate Ted Cruz. She was even on stage with Cruz on the night of the election.

Pierson’s endorsement of Cruz would continue through the 2014 Texas Congressional elections. Cruz reciprocated the support by labeling her as a fearless principled conservative. After Cruz lost, Pierson moved on and became a spokesperson for the Tea Party leadership fund.

Although the details of her salary are not available publicly, there are rumors that she was paid $30,000 to become the public face for the Tea Party Member campaign, which lasted for a duration of 6 months. There are also whispers by the political media that she gets paid amounts that are undisclosed. Pierson has met with president Donald Trump many times. She has become a trusted advocate of his and he enjoys when he can have people stand up for him when he says something controversial. In September 2015, she introduced Trump at a campaign public meeting. In November 2015, she got selected as the National Spokesperson for Trump’s presidential campaign. She has been an active political activist since 2012, although she has no interest on starting her own political career. Instead she aspires to launch a clothing line of her own.

Pierson s known for being outspoken and sometimes offensive. She has often appeared on television as a spokesperson for Trump, often being seen as one of Trump's staunchest defenders amidst his controversial comments. Pierson has been criticized for comments on the Muslim ban and her belief in secure borders and her opposition to the Affordable care Act. She is also known to make controversial statements on Twitter in support of gun rights and in opposition of abortion as a pro lifer.
