Kristy Mcnichol

Born on September 11, 1962 in Los Angeles, California, Christian Ann “Kristy” Mcnichol spent most of her childhood days in Los Angeles and has an older brother named Jimmy Mcnichol. There is very less information about her growing days and also about her schooling. The name of her school as well as college is not known. In the year 2001, Kristy retired from acting. She then went on to teach in a school and today she is known to be associated with various charity work. In the year 2012, she admitted to being a lesbian in order to inspire people who are bullied often because of their sexuality.

Kristy started her acting career along with her brother Jimmy and they appeared in several advertisements and commercials together. She made her television debut in 1973 when she was cast as Steffi in the television series Love, American Style for one episode. In the following year she was cast as Patricia Apple in the television series Apple’s Way which saw her in a regular role. The turning point in her career was when she was cast for the role of Letitia “Buddy” Lawrence in the 1976 hit television show Family. In 1977, she appeared in the television series The Love Boat as Linda Morley for an episode and in the same year she appeared as Kelly for an episode in the same series. She appeared in one episode of ABC Afterschool Special as Carlie Higgins in 1977 and Starsky and Hutch as Joey Carston in 1978. She was then cast for the role of Barbara Weston in the television series Empty Nest in the year 1988. In the same year, she made an appearance in an episode of Murder, She Wrote as Jill Morton. Her last stint on television was Invasion America where she played the role of Sgt. Angela Romar.

She made her movie debut with Black Sunday in 1977, but her scenes in this movie were edited out, and it wasn’t until 1978 that she made her movie appearance with the film The End where she played the role of Julie Lawson. She was then cast as the lead Angel Bright in 1980 for the movie Little Darlings. She has done many movies which includes Like Mom, Like Me as Jennifer Gruen in 1978, The Nights the Lights Went Out in Georgia as Amanda Child in 1981, Only When I Laugh as Polly in 1981, Just The Way You Are as Susan Berlanger in 1984, Women of Valor as T.J. Nolan in 1986, The Forgotten One as Barbara Stupple in 1989 and Mother of the Bride as Mary in 1993.

She won an Emmy Award for her performance in the show Family in both 1997 and 1979. In the year 1980, she won the People’s Choice Award and in 1982 she won the Young Artist Award for her role in Only When I Laugh. There is no information about her being married or any divorce and obviously, she doesn’t have any children. According to her biography, her net worth is $7 Million.
