Larry Joe Bird was born on 7th December 1956. He was born in West Baden Springs in Indiana. He was born to Claude Joseph Bird and Georgia Bird. Bird had a very rough childhood as his parents divorced and his father committed suicide. Despite of all the difficulties in his life, his love affair with basketball never seems to lessen. Larry Bird is given the nickname "Hick from the French Lick." referring to his hometown.He attended Springs Valley High School. At the high school, he was the star in basketball, and he graduated as the leading scorer of that time.

Celtics won the match at 1985 and 1987. Larry was named MVP of the NBA three times. Larry married Janet Condra for the first time, but their married life could not be successful. He married to Dinah Mattingly for the second time. He married his second wife Dinah in the year 1989.
