Lisa Backwell was born on 28th October, 1990, in Bristol, United Kingdom. Her nationality is British. She was very fond acting since her early days. She was continuously giving representation in front of her family, and she hoped that one day she would be famous.In order to pursue her dreams, she attended the London’s National Youth Theatre. She got to work with other Britain’s little stars such as Nicholas Hoult, Dev Patel, Jack O’Connell and Hannah Murray.

After she graduated from London’s National Youth Theatre she immediately got the part of Pandora Moon, from the TV series Skins. Her character depicts a female teenager that tries to make friends and unfortunately she is taken by a fool. Her boyfriend treats her badly and they have a very difficult relationship. She shows teen mentality regarding sex and the things they do in order to be accepted.
The TV show aired between 2007 and 2013. The second series aired starting 11 February 2008. This is the season where Lisa Backwell is introduced to the series. She will also be a part of the third season. Lisa and Kaya Scodelario (who played Effy Stonem) are the only ones who acted in second season and third season.
Other productions that had Lisa Backwell as a cast member are short films. One of them is Ella, where she performed as the main character. Other small film in which she attended is Too Good of a Samaritan (2012). Except for Skins, she did not play in any other TV shows.

She retreated from the spotlight at 24 years. Rumors say that this happened due to the lack of job offers. Even so, she gathered a small fortune thanks to her participation in Skins.
She is a much retreated person, and she kept her personal life private. She did not share information about past or current relationships. The only thing that she confesses was her going back to her home town – Bristol. With the money she made, she admits that she fell comfortable in her parent’s home. She likes it more to live with them than living alone, like she used to do in London. Currently she is studying finance.

Before 2012 she was very active on social media, especially on Twitter, where she was posting updates and photos with the Skins crew. After moving to Bristol, she turned off all social media activity, and enjoys a normal life, as a normal person and not a celebrity. Her parents support her in every decision she makes because she has proven to them that she is worth of their trust. They are very proud of her and her career.
Even though she retreated, she still keeps in touch with her friends from Skins. She supports them, and attends them at movie premiers and award ceremonies. One of her best friends is Hannah Murray (Gilly from Games of Thrones). They were together on the cast of Skins and they remained best friends. They can be often seen together partying in London, especially in the Soho district. Hannah regularly posts photos with her and Lis while they are together. Hanna considers Lisa her best friend, and she sustains that she felt the connection as soon as they met on the Skins plateau.
