Maggie played Marcy in the first pilot for the comedy sitcom series Suddenly Susan (1996). A couple of months after the pilot was shot, the story of the show was changed and the character later ended up being known as Vicki and went to Kathy Griffin instead of Maggie.
Aside from her famous television credits, the actress is also known for her roles in feature films like The Parent Trap (1998) and Justice League (2001).

Maggie has been married to Daniel Borden Wheeler since October 20, 1990. They have two children together from their marriage. Her two little girls, Juno and Gemma are five years separated in age. She was pregnant with her oldest girl when her Friends character Janice turned up pregnant in one scene of the sitcom.
