Family and Education

Marco have three siblings, one older brother and sister named Mario and Barbara respectively. And one younger sister named Veronica. His father was a bartender and mother was a housekeeper. He attended South Miami Senior High School from where he graduated in 1989. After that he attended Tarkio College for duration of one year before getting enrolled at Santa Fe Community College. He possesses a bachelor degree in Political Science from University of Florida in 1993 and later on received Doctor of law from University of Miami School of Law in 1996.

Political career

During his college days only Marco was inclined towards politics and become an active member of Republican Party. He was the member of the Florida House of Representatives representing 111th district for tenure of more than 8 years. He has also served as the speaker of Florida House of Representatives for duration of two years from November 21, 2006 to November 18, 2008. During 2015, Marco showed interest in participating in the run for Republican presidential recommendation. However later on he withdrew from the race after facing a disappointment by losing on in his home state to Donald Trump.

Personal Life

Rubio married a former bank teller and a Miami Dolphins cheerleader named Jeanette Dousdebes in 1988 at the Church of the Little Flower. The couple together has four children. Rubio lives in west Miami, Florida along with his family.

Mrs. Rubio has always played an important role in the development and evolution of Marco as a successful politician as per their common friends. They met when they were teenager and since then Jeanette have played a critical role in his life both professional and personal. During early period of this year Marco Rubio’s wife have filed for divorce. As per the comments released by Spokesperson of the Rubio Campaign during February 2016, being a husband Marco knows the level of stress Jeanette is undergoing and that is why he will withdraw his name as their marriage has a foundation of mutual respect and love.

In the terms of net worth Marco Rubio holds the fourth position from the top as he possess a total net worth of $443,500. After losing to Donald Trump in Florida, Rubio have withdrawn his name from the 2016 presidential elections. Earnings for Marco mainly comes from three sources and that his senator income, royalties earned from his book and his earning from the position of teacher. Debt for him mainly constitutes student loan and mortgages. The amount of debt he has earned in spite of a good salary from lawyer service and politics might be contributed to his poor childhood.
