Margaret Hoover worked in the White House under the George W. Bush administration where she was the associate director for intergovernmental Affairs. She did contributed work for the re-election of President Bush in the 2004 presidential campaign in 2004. She was the Deputy Finance Director for Rudy Giuliani when he attempted to become president. Rudy gave a strong attempt to win but in the end he wasn’t able to garner enough support. He thought he was popular enough from his time as a New York mayor but the rest of the country seem to turn a blind eye to him when he ran for president. Unfortunately, the speeches Margaret wrote for Rudy weren’t enough for him to gain any momentum in the presidential race. Margaret was also the staffer for Capitol Hill under Congressman of Mario Diaz-Balart. She also worked as the advisor of Deputy Secretary for the department of Homeland Security.

Margaret Hoover got married to a fellow CNN contributor named John Avlon. He is a senior columnist of Newsweek and also an editor-in-chief for The Daily Beast. They have only one child who was born in 2013. They had their wedding ceremony at the Stanford Memorial Church in the city of Palo Alto. There hasn’t been any rumors about the couple getting a divorce. The couple has been strong and the birth of their child only made their relationship stronger. Being a successful person in the political world, it is believed that Margaret may have a large net worth but none of her finances are available on public record. Margaret is the president of the lobby group called the American Unity PAC.
